Question #97
There is no yaw oscillation during flight, but on ground when I spool up or after landing there is some tail wag.
Answer

This is not uncommon with heading hold gyros as structural parts of the heli as well as the undercarriage flex and spring back. Also the contact with the ground adds latency to the yaw response of the heli which the gyro does not anticipate. The oscillations can sometimes be eliminated my making sure the tail blades are perfectly centred before spooling up and there is no tendency of the helicopter to yaw.
